This weeks songs are:

1) Sigma – Find Me ft. Birdy

Sigmas has released the music video for their latest single, Find Me, on Thursday which features Millie Bobby Brown from the show ‘Stranger Things’. This song features the English singer-songwriter, Birdy, who I must admit I’m quite a fan of. I love her voice in this song, it soo emotional and I like that the music video reflects the song perfectly in my opinion. Check out this great song below:

2) Vybz Kartel – Fever

Fever has to be one of my favourite Dancehall songs ever! Vybz Kartel released this song in May and it was one of my favourite summer jams. If you don’t already know, dancehall is a genre of Jamaican popular music. I’ve always loved dancehall music because it’s so energetic and lively, so please listen to this song below:

3) Milli Vanilli – Girl You Know It’s True

Even though Milli Vanilli didn’t actual sing their own songs, I really like this tune. This duo used back up singers to sing their songs and they were ultimately stripped of a Grammy Award when the media found out. This song reached no. 1 on the German Official charts, so check out this song below:

This weeks songs are:

1) Bob Marley & The Wailers – Natural Mystic141114-bob-marley-arp-1145a_6a60a906b67904ea4a5ceaba1e7a65a9.nbcnews-ux-2880-1000

‘Natural Mystic’ is the first song in Bob Marley & the Wailers’s ninth album, Exodus (1977). The album Exodus’ incorporates Jamaican reggae with other genres including blues, soul, funk and British funk. This is one of my favourite songs from this album besides Jammin’. This song is great when you just want to relax and chill out, but also to think about the deeper meaning of life and the world we live in. The link to this song is below:

2) The Smiths – Bigmouth Strikes Again

The Smiths are my favourite alternative rock band and this is one of my favourite songs from their third album The Queen Is Dead (1986). ‘Bigmouth Strikes Again’ was the leading single in this album and reached no.26 in the UK singles chart in 1986. Morrissey, the lead singer of the band, compares himself to Joan of Arc when he says As the flames rose to her Roman nose’. In the background, there is a high-pitched voice which is Morrissey’s voice in a higher pitch. In this song, he regrets what he’d said by saying ‘I was only joking’. Jordan uses an enhanced sample of Slick Rick’s ‘Children’s Story’The song refers to how Montell and his friends party and celebrate. This is an ultimate party track, that everyone can dance and sing to! Here’s the link to this song:
