This weeks songs are:

1) Foxes – Let Go For Tonight

Let Go For Tonight is a pop song by the English singer, Foxes. This is the fifth track on her album, Glorious (2014) but it also featured on her debut EP, Warrior (2012) as a demo. I really like this song because it’s all about seizing the moment, relaxing and focusing on the love you and your partner share. It can sometimes be hard to let go of everything and enjoy the moment due to our stressful and busy lives. This song peaked at no. 7 on the UKs Singles chart however, it reached no. 1 on the Japan Hot Overseas chart in 2014. please listen to this song below:

3) KDA – Just Say ft. Tinashe

KDA is a house music producer and this song features American singer-songwriter, Tinashe. I love the powerful beat in this song and the distortion of Tinashe’s voice which, creates a unique and upbeat track. The lyrics of this song are quite self-explanatory as she says “Just say that you love me, cause I want you to”. This is the first song that I’ve listened to by KDA and I really like it so check out this track below:

3) Oh Land -White Nights

Danish recording artist, Oh Land, released this song back in 2011 and it appeared on her self-titled album, Oh Land (2011). This was her first top 20 single on the Danish Singles Chart and it also appeared on an episodes of Teen Wolf called ‘The Tell’ in 2011. This song is about summer nights that don’t go dark even though the sun goes down. I really like the softness of her voice in this song so please check out this cool song below:

Moving Out (My 17th Birthday)

Moving Out (My 17th Birthday)

Woo!🎉 Today I turn 17 years old although, I had to wake up at 2 am so my family could catch a coach to the Victoria coach station to go to Manchester. The whole journey took about 7 hours. We’ll be currently living at my Uncles until we find another place to live in and I could potentially be missing quite a few days of school because Manchester is about 4hr away from where my school is. Me missing school isn’t necessarily too bad because we only have 2 weeks of school left however, we’re starting a big project in Biology and starting to write our UCAS application for university which I don’t want to miss out on.

To be honest, I really can’t believe I’m 17. I can get my drivers license like one of my closest friends has and then I can get a car. My Uncle in America last year said that he’d pay for my first car when I turn 18, so I really hope he keeps his promise! Ultimately he became one of my favourite Uncles because he bought me my iPhone 6 and my brother’s iPad mini.

Another thing that is speacial about today is that it is Swoozies birthday!! He’s one of my favourite, if not favourite, YouTubers and it’s awesome to share the same birthday as him. If you don’t know who he is, check out his YouTube channel here: He does videos and animations in funny stories (which is mostly about girls) and life experiences. I wished him a happy birthday on Twitter so I hope he sees my tweet!

I hope you guys have been having a wonderful day and please comment what you’ve been up to😊🎉🎈

This weeks songs are:

1) Michael Jackson – Give In To me

Give In To Me is a song by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. This is the tenth single on his studio album, Dangerous (1991) and it features the Guns N’ Roses guitarist, Slash. This song is classed as a hard rock ballad/heavy metal ballad and it has a slow tempo of only 87 beats per minute. Give In To Me did well, chart wise, in New Zealand because it topped the New Zealand Singles Chart for four weeks consecutively but also, it peaked at no.2 on the UK’s Singles Chart. Personally, I think this is one of Michael’s most underrated tracks, so please check it out:

2) Marlon Roudette – When The Beat Drops Out

When The Beat Drops Out is an R&B single by the British/Vincentian musician, Marlon Roudette. This song appears on his second studio album, Electric Soul, which was released in August 2014. The narrator seems to be in a place that’s playing good music e.g. a concert. Check out this great song below:

Cosmic Love is a pop single by the famous English indie rock band, Florence and the Machine, released in July 2010 in the UK. This song was released as the seventh single in their debut studio album, Lungs (2009) and this track received positive reviews and even some critics called it the best single on the album. However, Cosmic Love is the bands second least successful single in the UK Singles Chart, reaching no.51. Please check out this beautiful song below:
